Even with roll-up doors and windows, sometimes there’s not enough sunlight coming through. To rectify this, American Steel Carports offers 2 different skylight sizes: 3×8 and 3×4. Whether you have a small mini-storage building or a big metal barn, you would always have the option to add skylights. Also, please note that skylights can only be installed in vertical siding roofs.

When it comes to customized metal buildings, our clients’ biggest fear is that our units won’t withstand harsh weather. To verify your specific local wind rates, you’ll have to contact your city’s building department. But the main protection we offer is the addition of anchors. We do offer rebar anchors (temporary anchors) for free, although they don’t come with any guarantee. Much better are our asphalt and concrete mobile home anchors, which have a warranty for winds of up to 90 mph.

What happens if the winds are stronger?

If the winds are stronger, we start by adding more trusses. In some cases, we add bigger peak and corner braces.

American Steel Carports does not do any concrete work, but we do offer our customers recommendations for concrete foundations. This a good example of one of our customers in Portales, New Mexico:
