This is What Customization is About!

Why should you choose American Steel Carports over any other company?

American Steel Carports offers a variety of customizations when it comes to our buildings. In fact, we let our customers come up with their own individual ideas for their metal buildings. No matter how crazy it might sound or how big the structure needs to be, we’ll ensure that your building will be built to last for a really long time.

Customers might have their own ideas for their custom metal units, but it’s up to the company to turn those ideas into real buildings. In fact, sometimes the idea might sound complicated and a little confusing for the customer, but the vendor will fully understand how the building is going to look. That’s why we provide free sketches for perfect visualization. Remember, at the end of the day, it’s you who we’re trying to please and successfully provide with a great experience.

So, when we say “custom”…how custom are we really talking about?

A metal building can be considered custom due to many factors. You can add two roll-up doors on the side or an overhead door, make your building a utility—you name it. All of these changes can be considered custom. However, that doesn’t mean that we can’t go over the top with your unique ideas.

If you want to know what we’re talking about, take a look at this wild 30’W x 60’L x 12’W building:

*Don’t let the dimensions fool you: this metal building is full of surprises!*

One of the things that might seem very odd is the orientation of the windows. When we said that we let our customers come up with their own bright ideas, we really meant it! This customer wanted the windows to be placed in that position. Another cool feature is the big amount of roll-up doors and the fact that the building is fully insulated, giving you an idea of what it might be used for.

You can order a building just like this and adjust the size or the amount of windows and doors. The choice is yours!

Do you have something custom like this in mind, but think it might not be possible? Just give us a try—you’ll be surprised! Call us now and ask to speak with one of our experts! We will help you customize that metal building you’ve always wanted. And don’t forget to ask about our financing options!

61′ Long!

And we’re back with the new year!

We hope everyone had a wonderful time during the holidays. Now it’s time for a fresh start and more new buildings!

What if we start this year with a long building? It’s a good idea to have your building ready for the hot summer and the winter beyond. You never know what will happen in the inclement weather. Remember, our buildings are made according to your needs: if 61 feet is too long for you or isn’t allowed by your city, we can always change the length. It’s the same with the other options and features, such as doors, windows, and insulation.

Take a look at this building, with dimensions of 24′W × 61′L × 10′H:

• A-Frame Vertical Roof

• Horizontal Sides & Ends

• 2 – 10×8 Roll-Up Doors (front end)

• 4 – Windows (on the side)

• 36×80 Walk-In Door (on the side)

• Insulated Roof

• Concrete Anchors

It has an insulated roof because it’s vertical, four windows for more illumination, and of course two 10 × 8 roll-up doors, so you park your vehicles or store your belongings inside.

There are plenty of ways to get your building started. Let one of our sales representatives help you find the right building. And remember, we offer 12 colors you can choose from at no extra cost. Need visual representation? Our team can provide you with a sketch to give you a clear view of your metal building. Want to see our buildings in person? Ask for your local dealer!

Add Value to Your Property with this Workshop!

Need a new addition on your property? Want a better and bigger workshop?

Have you ever thought about having your own “man cave”? Or perhaps a workshop to work on your vehicles? If your answer to both questions is yes, it’s likely that your main concern about getting a workshop is the price. Metal buildings can range in price depending on the size and number of features added to the unit. Remember that we’re working to meet your expectations. If you’re on a budget, our experts will work with you until we design your perfect building.

So, what if you don’t have a concrete slab? Is your building going to be gone with the wind?

Our buildings don’t necessarily have to be installed on concrete slabs. Leveled surfaces like asphalt and regular ground are typically flat enough to install metal buildings. Additionally, our company offers mobile home and asphalt anchors to secure your metal building, so if you want to get our 90-mph wind warranty, we can still give it to you as long as your purchase all of the necessary anchors. However, keep in mind that any building that exceeds 30’ in width will be required to have a concrete slab.

Take a look at this beautiful metal workshop:

• 30’W x 51’L x 12’H

• A-Frame Vertical Roof

• Horizontal Sides & Ends

• 12×12 Roll-Up Door (front end)

• 8×7 Roll-Up Door (front end)

• 2 – Windows (one on each side)

• 36×72 Walk-In Door (on the side)

• Additional Trussing

• Additional Hat Channels

• Mobile Home Anchors

Disclaimer: Interior designs may vary by state or region. This metal workshop was installed in Colorado. Therefore, it was necessary to add extra trusses in order to meet local codes.

We’re here to help if you’re interested in the same style as the building described above, but if you want to change its dimensions, please give us a call. Let one of our experts help you customize the building of your dreams.

Metal Building with a Lean-To

Additional Extensions to Your Metal Storage Building

Lean-tos are very handy when it comes to additions. They don’t just offer protection—they can also serve as extra space or a small carport for your vehicle! Most of our customers prefer a 3-foot or larger drop on their lean-tos, but remember that it’s your choice how to enhance your metal building!

Types of Lean-Tos:

We offer two different styles when it comes to lean-tos. The first one is the regular drop lean-to. As explained earlier, this lean-to has a gap from the original height, coming down to whichever height you prefer.

The second style is a continuous lean-to, which means that there’s no gap in between the first height from the second one. You can see the sample of a continuous lean-to below:

What Makes American Steel Carports Different?

Unlike other companies, we provide the right number of trusses in order to protect our metal buildings from the environment. However, we also recommend that you acquire our concrete, mobile home, or asphalt anchors in order to avoid disastrous situations. Another of our features is that we count with a variety of sizes when it comes to roll-up and overhead doors.

Here is a great example of a metal building with a continuous lean-to.

  • 26’W x 31’L x 11’H
  • 14-Gauge Galvanized Tubing
  • A-Frame Horizontal Roof
  • 36″ x 72″ Walk-In Door (on the side)
  • 18 x 9 Roll-Up Door
  • 12 x 30 x 8 Continuous Lean-To
  • A-Frame Horizontal Roof
  • (1) Full Side

American Steel Carports will take care of the delivery and installation of your metal building on your level site or concrete slab. We want to make sure that our buildings meet your expectations and needs. Remember that you can always give us a call for more information. One of our sales representatives will assist you and answer any questions you might have about our buildings. You can also check our other blogs for more important information and images of buildings that we’ve recently installed.
