Do you Need to House your Vehicle and Equipment?

American Steel Carports will take care of finding the right metal building for you! We offer a variety of styles and designs to bring your ideas to life, and you can view a vast range of demos at our main corporate offices, from a simple mini-storage building to a triple-wide unit.

One of our most recent buildings, comes with fully vertical walls and ends, perfect for snowy areas. Due to the panels running vertically (from the peak to the eaves), it allows elements such as dirt, snow, water, leaves, dust, etc. to slide off easily, making it a low-maintenance building. It also has a vertical colonial style or wainscoting:

• 18’W x 26’L x 9’H

• 14 Gauge Galvanize Tubing

• Fully Vertical

• 2 – 10 x 8 Roll-Up Doors (one on each side)

• Walk-In Door with Window (on the side)

• Colonial Style (2 toned)

• 5 Windows (on the side)

• 12’W x 26’L x 9’/8’H Lean-To

• A-Frame Vertical Roof

• 2 – Vertical Gable Ends

• 20″ Down Sidewall

Disclaimer: Colonial style on vertical siding buildings comes with an additional charge. Interior designs may vary by state or region.

Amazing Metal Buildings Come from Amazing Ideas.

Most of our designs come from our customers’ most valuable ideas—the ideas that complement the very idea of what a metal building is. Customization helps us implement these ideas.

When it comes to customized metal buildings, our clients’ biggest fear is that our units won’t withstand harsh weather. To verify your specific local wind rates, you’ll have to contact your city’s building department. But the main protection we offer is the addition of anchors. We do offer rebar anchors (temporary anchors) for free, although they don’t come with any guarantee. Much better are our asphalt and concrete mobile home anchors, which have a warranty for winds of up to 90 mph.

What happens if the winds are stronger?

If the winds are stronger, we start by adding more trusses. In some cases, we add bigger peak and corner braces.

American Steel Carports does not do any concrete work, but we do offer our customers recommendations for concrete foundations. This a good example of one of our customers in Portales, New Mexico:

22′ x 26′ x 10′

A-Frame Horizontal Roof

14-Gauge Galvanize Tubing

3 – 9×7 Roll-Up Doors (2 on left side, 1 on right side)

36×80 Walk-In Door (front end)

12′ x 26′ x 10’/8′ Lean-To

Continuous Roof

25′ Double Bar Header (for Lean-To)

*DISCLAIMER: Headers may vary upon county regulations or snow loads. Prices are subject to change at any time without notice. Please contact our sales department for our latest prices.*

If you have any specific requirements, don’t hesitate to let our sales representatives know. Together we can develop your ideas and make them come true. We can create sketches to help you fully visualize them and make sure that every little detail has been taken care of.

We also offer financing! Click here to check the requirements and see our applications, or give us a call to get more information. You can keep up with our most recent installs if you click on our blog section.

Simple, Small, but Resistant

At American Steel Carports, we want our buildings to meet all your needs and expectations. We can accommodate your specific requirements, especially when it comes to building permits. We can add as much material as it takes to get the unit fully protected and certified to the requirements of the city.

It is important that you talk to your local building department to verify all the state codes, because not all states or even cities within a state have the same ones.

What if you need extra spacing on the sides?

Our buildings come with specific numbers of legs to withstand the wind and other elements. But that doesn’t mean there’s nothing we can do to customize to your needs. Here is a notable example of a carport for a customer who decided to add two headers to the sides for extra spacing or to park a small vehicle:

10’W x 21’L x 8’H

12-Gauge galvanized tubing

A-Frame Vertical Roof (Earth Brown)

2 – 9′ Header (one on each side)

Concrete Anchors (90-mph wind warranty)

The outcome was beautiful, and the colors matched the house and the environment. Please be aware that headers will reduce the side opening height by approximately 6″ – 24″ depending on state codes and length of the header. We will have to reinforce the structure with extra material in order to provide durability.

You can come up with your own ideas. If you have a project in mind, don’t hesitate to give us a call! A sales representative will go over the project with you so that we can find just the metal building you’re looking for. We can also draw sketches to ensure that customization and features, such as doors, windows, gables, siding, and headers, are in the right places before you make your final decision.

14′ Tall Metal Carport

Looking for a simple carport for your RV? Does your RV overpass the 12-foot standard height from the flyers?

At American Steel Carports, we ensure that our metal buildings meet all of your expectations and needs. We can accommodate your requirements, especially when it comes to building permits. Keep in mind that we can add as much material as your unit needs in order to make sure it’s fully protected and certified for the requirements of the city. However, it’s important for you to go to your local building department and talk to them in order to verify all of the state codes. Since all of the states have different requirements when it comes to installations, they might need to see plans or specifics.

When our customers look for metal RV covers, they can be concerned when the leg height that they’re looking for isn’t listed on the pricing flyers. But that doesn’t mean that we cannot go taller than 12 feet; in fact, the tallest we can go on a building is 20 feet in height. However, keep in mind that the leg height cannot exceed the width of the unit.

Take this metal carport as an example. It’s 14 feet tall:

  • 30’W x 41’L x 14’H
  • 12-Gauge Galvanized Tubing
  • A-Frame Vertical Roof

All of our metal units are engineer-certified, and with their one-year workmanship warranty, we allow our buildings to go through all four seasons to make sure that they don’t have any leaks or issues.

Give us a call! If wind and/or snow loads are your main concerns, don’t forget to ask our representatives about our wind warranties and how we can certify your unit when it comes to large amounts of snow.
