Partially Enclosed Metal Carport

Exposing our belongings to harsh weather decreases their durability—and even if we live in areas where the weather is calm, the sun can be damaging as well. When it comes to vehicles, it’s important to remember that they need to remain in the shade; the sun itself can dry and crack your dash, not to mention the fact that direct exposure can double the temperatures inside and crack leather seats. That’s when American Steel Carports comes to the rescue. With our affordable metal buildings, we can provide you with a strong and effective metal shed for parking your vehicles or storing your belongings.

We offer a variety of buildings to choose from, but if all you need is a metal carport for your vehicle, then we can definitely help you. Our metal buildings come in various sizes, and knowing exactly what you want is key when purchasing a structure.

ALL of our metal buildings start with a standard or regular roof. The standard roof is a common choice, as its simple design is familiar and looks good with most properties. It’s also our most affordable option; take a look at this 30’W x 36’L x 12’H structure as an example:

This metal building is wide enough to be used in numerous ways. Also, remember that the colors can always be changed. This customer decided to go all green.

Metal Garage for 2 Vehicles

Purchasing a metal garage may seem boring and complicated, but it doesn’t have to be. The number one reason why it might seem complicated is if you don’t know the dimensions that you’re looking for. It’s important to ask for a large amount of space in order to keep your vehicles protected; this will become handy in the future in case you want to use the extra space to store other belongings.

Our top priorities are to make sure that our customers get their metal garages at a lower price and ensure that their metal buildings meet their demands and expectations. As always, we can recommend sizes or features that will suit your needs, such as windows, walk-in doors, or even insulation if possible.

Since we’re talking about metal garages, why not look at this 24’W x 31’L x 10’H:

• A-Frame Vertical Roof

• Horizontal Sides and Ends

Two 10’x8′  Roll-Up Doors (on the side)

• 36″x80″ Walk-In Door

• Four Windows (30″x30″)

Concrete Anchors

This metal garage is very uniform and steady, rocking our pebble beige and barn red colors. Also, placing the roll-up doors on the side makes this a better option because it is cheaper to grow in length than in width.

Custom Metal Carport

What if you want an open carport but you need the extra spacing on the sides?

At American Steel Carports, we want to accommodate all your needs. When it comes to carports, there are many ways to customize your building. Whether it’s an open carport or an enclosed metal building, we can help you personalize it.

Take a look at this 18′W × 26′L × 12′H from one of our customers in New Mexico. This custom carport has two 10′ headers, offering generous clearance and enough space for two decent-sized vehicles. Even with only one side in the carport, it provides enough shade for vehicles.

A-Frame Vertical Roof

Vertical Side

Horizontal Gable End

2 – 10 ft Headers

Concrete Anchors (90-mph Wind Warranty)

*Disclaimer: interior designs may vary by state or region. Above design is good for only for 30 PSF (ground snow load) may require additional trusses to meet local codes. Lateral support might be required based on wind loads*

Remember, you don’t need a concrete slab for most of our units under 30′ wide. However, it is important for your ground to be level in order for us to install your unit.

What are the wind rating and snow load?

American Steel Carports offers a 90-mph wind warranty with the purchase of all the anchors your unit needs. But this doesn’t mean we can’t certify your unit against even stronger winds. Please check with your county before making a purchase.

Snow loads also play a significant role, especially in northern states. Most of our units are certified for 30 lbs/ft2. But we can still certify your metal building according to your county’s requirements and specifications.

Amazing Metal Buildings Come from Amazing Ideas.

Most of our designs come from our customers’ most valuable ideas—the ideas that complement the very idea of what a metal building is. Customization helps us implement these ideas.

When it comes to customized metal buildings, our clients’ biggest fear is that our units won’t withstand harsh weather. To verify your specific local wind rates, you’ll have to contact your city’s building department. But the main protection we offer is the addition of anchors. We do offer rebar anchors (temporary anchors) for free, although they don’t come with any guarantee. Much better are our asphalt and concrete mobile home anchors, which have a warranty for winds of up to 90 mph.

What happens if the winds are stronger?

If the winds are stronger, we start by adding more trusses. In some cases, we add bigger peak and corner braces.

American Steel Carports does not do any concrete work, but we do offer our customers recommendations for concrete foundations. This a good example of one of our customers in Portales, New Mexico:

22′ x 26′ x 10′

A-Frame Horizontal Roof

14-Gauge Galvanize Tubing

3 – 9×7 Roll-Up Doors (2 on left side, 1 on right side)

36×80 Walk-In Door (front end)

12′ x 26′ x 10’/8′ Lean-To

Continuous Roof

25′ Double Bar Header (for Lean-To)

*DISCLAIMER: Headers may vary upon county regulations or snow loads. Prices are subject to change at any time without notice. Please contact our sales department for our latest prices.*

If you have any specific requirements, don’t hesitate to let our sales representatives know. Together we can develop your ideas and make them come true. We can create sketches to help you fully visualize them and make sure that every little detail has been taken care of.

We also offer financing! Click here to check the requirements and see our applications, or give us a call to get more information. You can keep up with our most recent installs if you click on our blog section.

14′ Tall Metal Carport

Looking for a simple carport for your RV? Does your RV overpass the 12-foot standard height from the flyers?

At American Steel Carports, we ensure that our metal buildings meet all of your expectations and needs. We can accommodate your requirements, especially when it comes to building permits. Keep in mind that we can add as much material as your unit needs in order to make sure it’s fully protected and certified for the requirements of the city. However, it’s important for you to go to your local building department and talk to them in order to verify all of the state codes. Since all of the states have different requirements when it comes to installations, they might need to see plans or specifics.

When our customers look for metal RV covers, they can be concerned when the leg height that they’re looking for isn’t listed on the pricing flyers. But that doesn’t mean that we cannot go taller than 12 feet; in fact, the tallest we can go on a building is 20 feet in height. However, keep in mind that the leg height cannot exceed the width of the unit.

Take this metal carport as an example. It’s 14 feet tall:

  • 30’W x 41’L x 14’H
  • 12-Gauge Galvanized Tubing
  • A-Frame Vertical Roof

All of our metal units are engineer-certified, and with their one-year workmanship warranty, we allow our buildings to go through all four seasons to make sure that they don’t have any leaks or issues.

Give us a call! If wind and/or snow loads are your main concerns, don’t forget to ask our representatives about our wind warranties and how we can certify your unit when it comes to large amounts of snow.
