Not Your Typical Garage

Heavy machinery tends to need more storage space, especially if we’re talking about the height of the building. Some machines can easily overpass 12’ in height. As with RVs, you need plenty of clearance and space for moving your unit in and out of your garage or RV cover.

So, what should you do? Well, at American Steel Carports, we design our buildings according to your needs and preferences. Some of our customers have gotten discouraged when they saw our flyers saying we create buildings up 12’. Actually, we can go taller than that—in fact, the tallest we can go is 20’. We don’t include taller sizes because of local codes and regulations. Not all states and cities have the same codes when it comes to metal buildings taller than 12’.

Take a closer look at this 30’ W x 51’ L x 16’ H in 12-gauge:

*NOTE: Interior designs may vary by state or region.

With a building of this size, you can create your own workshop for working on your vehicles while you’re keeping your equipment protected from inclement weather.

Need Some Shade for Your Livestock?

If you own a farm with livestock, you know the importance of providing a shaded area to protect them from intense heat. Some farms might have soil rich enough in nutrients to increase the chances of trees growing there. But like us, trees can take 30 years to be fully grown, and not only that, a tree must be able to be establish itself with the area; and keep in mind the harsh conditions the tree might be exposed to.

A more beneficial option might be to install a multipurpose metal building that can protect your livestock as well as your belongings, such as farm equipment, from unpredictable weather. American Steel Carports specializes in the production of custom metal buildings to fit our customers’ needs and priorities.

When it comes to the length of our buildings, there’s no limit. Take a look at this 18′W × 61′L × 7′H building:

A-Frame Vertical Roof

3′ Horizontal Sides

Mobile Home Anchors

Side note: We highly recommend our customers opt for a vertical roof once the length of the building passes 30 feet. This will prevent future leaks, due to the sheet panels running from the peak of the building toward the eaves.

Big Enough Plus Additional Space!

American Steel Carports provides customized metal buildings that will fulfill your special needs and expectations. Whether you’re planning on storing your vehicles, heavy machinery, or any of your belongings that might need protection from the harsh weather, American Steel Carports will have what you need! And with so many different designs, sizes, and colors to choose from, you can add your own personal touch!

When you’re planning to put up a metal unit, the first thing we always recommend is to know the size that you want. This will allow you to play around with measurements; whether we’re increasing length or width, it’s best to have additional space. However, that doesn’t necessarily mean that you need an extremely wide building to park your vehicles. Lean-tos are a smart option if you want to extend the width protection of your building for a lower price. Here is a clearer representation of what we’re talking about:

54’W x 31’L x 12’/8’H

30’W x 31’L x 12’H (center unit) 14-Gauge

A-Frame Vertical Roof

• Horizontal Sides

Horizontal End

Gable End

45 Degree Cuts

2 – 12’W x 31’L x 10’/8’H Lean-Tos

• A-Frame Vertical Roof

This metal building, more like an agricultural barn, is 54’ wide due to both lean-tos that are connected side to side. This is what we’re talking about when we refer to extending the width of your building in a smarter way.

*It’s recommended to keep lean-tos under 12’ wide. Once a lean-to overpasses 12’ wide, additional support and material will need to be added for an additional price. *

Want something similar to this metal barn? Need to adjust its size? Give us a call and let one of our experts help you customize that metal barn that you’ve been wanting. All of our metal barns are custom-made to satisfy nothing but your needs, and all of the buildings that we post are live creations of our customers.

Need Space for Heavy-Machinery?

As a company, we know exactly the need of protection for our heavy equipment, and sometimes is not that easy to find something with the right amount of height and clearance in order for your toys to be well protected. Another reason why customers might get turned down, is because our flyers go all the way to 12’ tall. However, that doesn’t mean that we cannot go taller than 12’. In fact, the tallest we can go on ay metal building, is 20’ tall.

Since we’re talking about tall buildings, take a look at this 24’W x 26’L x 14’H metal building with the following features:

• 12-Gauge (20-year limited warranty on rust through of framing)

• A-Frame Vertical Roof

• 1 – 8×7 Roll-Up Door (back end)

• 1 – 10×10 Roll-Up Door (front end)

• 1 – 10×12 Roll-Up Door (front end)

• 4 – 3×4 Skylights

• 1-36×80 Walk-In Door

• Concrete Anchors

Remember that this unit as the rest of the ones we’ve shared can always be modified according to your needs and specifications; same applies with the color choice, with 13 colors to choose from, you can add or own personal touch.

There are endless ways for you to create that perfect metal building, and it can always start with a simple call with one of our experts. Don’t hesitate to call and ask us any questions you may have or any concerns regarding our metal buildings. Don’t forget to ask about our financing options we have available for you.

It’s Time for a New Upgrade!

Metal barns have been in the industry for many years, and steel barns come in many shapes and sizes.

Customization is a big part of our company. It attracts most of our customers because of all the designs that we’re capable of building. And with American Steel Carports, you get a metal structure that’s not only well-built, but also engineer-certified to last for many years.

Have you heard of our colonial or wainscoat style? How about our “Texas cuts”?

Our colonial or wainscoat style is a design that provides side panels of one color ascending the wall to about the half-way point, where they meet with a contrasting upper wall color. This two-tone effect makes your metal building more visually appealing. This option is free in buildings with horizontal siding. However, if your building is fully vertical, then this option would come with an additional price.

Texas cuts, or 45° angles, give your metal building a unique look. This type of cut can be applied to frame outs or openings. Be aware that this option does come with an additional price per opening.

Take a look at this 20’W x 26’L x 9’H metal garage that’s rocking our two features described above:

• A-Frame Vertical Roof

• 2 – 9’ x 7’ Roll-Up Doors

• 2 – 45° Frame Out

• Colonial Style

• Concrete Anchors

This metal building turned out great, the excellent combination of colors making it stand out from its surroundings.

You can create your own design, too! Give us a call to speak with one our team members. We will help you design and build the perfect structure for you! Don’t forget to ask about our financing options. Want to see our buildings in person? Ask for your local dealer!

Protect Your Second Home Too!

Don’t leave you RV unprotected from the environment! Just as we need our RVs to give us roofs over our heads, our RVs deserve roofs of their own to keep them safe and protected.

Finding the perfect cover for RVs can be quite challenging, as they can vary considerably in height. One solution is paying to park your RV at a local RV parking spot. This might sound like a good plan, as your RV will be parked and protected and you save some space – but in the long run, that price you’re paying regularly could’ve been the total price you paid for an RV cover to be delivered and installed at home.

Remember that we can go taller than 12’ (what our flyers says). In fact, we can go as high as 20’ tall on our buildings, so covering an RV will not be a challenge for us! Take a look at this 24’W x 36’L x 14’H unit:

• A-Frame Vertical Roof

• 12-Gauge Galvanize Tubing

• 6′ Vertical Sides

• 2 – Vertical Gable Ends

• Concrete Anchors

*Disclaimer: Additional material might be required to meet local codes. Therefore, the inside design and pricing may vary by state.*

This RV cover is made in 12-gauge, which includes our 20-year limited warranty on rust-through of the framing. It also comes with a vertical roof, 6’ vertical sides (partially enclosed), two vertical gables, and concrete anchors.

Metal Building with a Lean-To

Additional Extensions to Your Metal Storage Building

Lean-tos are very handy when it comes to additions. They don’t just offer protection—they can also serve as extra space or a small carport for your vehicle! Most of our customers prefer a 3-foot or larger drop on their lean-tos, but remember that it’s your choice how to enhance your metal building!

Types of Lean-Tos:

We offer two different styles when it comes to lean-tos. The first one is the regular drop lean-to. As explained earlier, this lean-to has a gap from the original height, coming down to whichever height you prefer.

The second style is a continuous lean-to, which means that there’s no gap in between the first height from the second one. You can see the sample of a continuous lean-to below:

What Makes American Steel Carports Different?

Here is a great example of a metal building with a continuous lean-to.
