Let’s Get Your Vehicles Protected

We’re almost halfway through March, folks! It’s time to get your metal garage ready before the intense heat starts to hit us. Our metal garages will protect your vehicles, equipment, or any valuables you might consider storing inside.

All of our garages come in different sizes. The key to getting a good-sized metal garage is to know the dimensions you’re looking for. Many customers will freeze when we ask what dimensions they want. That won’t stop our experts from recommending certain sizes that will work for you – but keep in mind that if you need the additional space to store something besides your vehicle, it would be better for you to measure the space needed.

Take a look at this 30’W x 31’L x 12’H garage:

There’s plenty of space for your vehicles and enough to fit an average-sized truck inside. It also has a vertical roof, our most recommended roof style, horizontal siding, 2 (two) 10’ x 10’ roll-up doors, 2 (two) 30” x 30” windows, and a 36” x 80” walk-in door.

What if I like the concept of the building, but I need to change the length?

We would be more than happy to customize your metal garage according to your needs. All of the pictures we post are live examples of what we can do. If you need us to customize it, we will do it!

What if I like everything about the building except the colors?

With over 13 (thirteen) different colors to choose from, you can add your personal touch to your metal garage.

Don’t wait too long! Give us a call and let one of our experts help you customize your metal garage! And don’t forget to ask about our financing options!

There are Endless Ways to Customize your Metal Building

Whether you’re looking for a simple carport/garage, a warehouse, or a completely custom metal building, American Steel Carports will make the metal structure of your dreams come true! With more than 20 years of service in the carport industry, we know exactly how to give our customers a pleasant experience.

Any side of your carport can be customized. Whether you want some extra space between the legs, or to make it taller than 12’, or an additional lean-to, we cover it all!

Headers:

One of the most common customizations is our headers. Headers can increase the spacing in between the legs and function as actual openings. Some of our customers who opt to enclose their metal buildings prefer to have openings instead of actual garage doors.

13’ or taller:

Our standard, triple wide, and widespan flyers normally only go up to 12’ tall, but that doesn’t mean we’ll limit ourselves. In fact, the tallest we can go is 20’. We might not build skyscrapers, but we can make your structure tall enough for all your machinery equipment that you want to protect.

Lean-Tos or Connections:

When people hear the word “lean-to,” they automatically picture an agricultural barn with lean-tos on each side, which are also called wings. Lean-tos can be added to most of our buildings as additional storage space or as carports for parking your vehicles.

What about if you have two buildings and you just want to connect them? American Steel Carports can connect your buildings as well! Here are a few examples of connected buildings:

Different Pitches:

Yes, we offer different angles or pitches for our metal buildings! All of our buildings come with a 3/12 roof pitch, but we can go as low as 2/12 or as high as 8/12 (depending on the unit).

If you are considering making any of these customizations, don’t be afraid to let us know. We will work with you until we can make the building you’re looking for. Aside from that, don’t forget that American Steel Carports makes sure that your building is certified by the best engineers. And don’t forget to ask for our financing options!

Live in the North? You’d better watch out for the Snow!

Vertical siding buildings are the most recommended when it comes to states that get a lot of snow. The vertical roof allows natural elements like snow, water, dirt, leaves, and dust to slide off easily without the need for constant maintenance, unlike other roof styles. And if the vertical roof can give you all that, imagine having vertical sides! It would definitely make your metal garage maintenance-free!

Another cool feature that we offer is our overhead doors. These doors create more of a residential look, and they can actually be connected to a garage opener. Please keep in mind that American Steel Carports does not offer that type of service: we would only provide the installation of your metal building and the overhead door.

This 18’W x 26’L x 10’H metal garage is a perfect example of a fully vertical (a.k.a., maintenance-free) building:

• 16’x7′ Overhead door

• 4 – 30″x30″ Windows (2 on the side)

• 36″x80″ Walk-In Door (on the side)

There are many ways to customize your metal garage! Before making a purchase, though, it’s recommended that all of our customers talk with their local building departments to get the necessary permits. Remember that not all states and counties are the same: some might require additional plans or calculations, while others would take the generic plans. Also, know that our generic plans come free when you place your order with us.

Give us a call and let one of our experts help you build that garage of your dreams! Does your area have a higher snow load? Let our experts know, and we’ll work with your requirements until we meet them. Want to see our buildings in person? Call us and ask for your local dealer! And don’t forget to ask about our financing options.

Plenty of Space for Your Toys!

There’s still plenty of time to get your metal garage before summer gets in the way! As you know, it’s very important to keep our valuables and vehicles under a roof. If you want them to last a long time, they need to be protected from sun damage and harsh weather.

The key to our metal buildings is that we will customize and transform them according to your needs and preferences; not to mention that ALL our buildings are engineer-certified!

Although American Steel Carports does not offer any concrete work, furthermore, we will provide concrete anchors to secure your structure—not to mention that you can get our 90-mph wind warranty when you purchase all the anchors needed. Take this 24’W x 51’L x 9’H metal garage as an example:

• A-Frame Vertical Roof
• Horizontal Sides & Ends
• 2 – Walk-in Doors (diamond window)
• 4 – 30″x30″ Windows (2 on each end)
• 4 – 10’x8′ Roll-Up Doors (on the side)

This metal garage has a vertical roof, one of the best roof styles we offer. Besides its pleasant-looking residential style, it allows natural elements such as snow, dirt, water, and leaves to slide off very easily. Also, once a metal building exceeds 30’ in length, we recommend choosing a vertical roof to eliminate the possibility of leaks in the future. Another important fact, is having your roll-up doors on the side can give you plenty of advantages when it comes to this type of building, since it’s cheaper to grow in length than in width.

Your metal garage is just one call away! Ask to speak with one of our sales representatives who will help customize your metal building according to your needs. Also, don’t forget to ask about our financing options. Want to see our buildings in person? Ask for your local dealer!

There’s Still Plenty of Time to Place Your Order

Still debating about getting a brand-new metal workshop for your toys? Don’t know exactly what you’re looking for? You still have enough time to place your order or get help finding the right building for you.

Our metal workshops offer the protection, versatility, and durability that you need. We’re proud to say that all of our metal units are engineer-certified! This means that you won’t have to worry about your metal building not been able to withstand whatever is thrown at it.

It’s extremely recommendable to visit your local building department to get a permit before purchasing your metal unit; the local building department will tell you the exact requirements for your area. Whether your metal building needs to hold over 40 PSF snow loads or withstand winds of over 90 mph, American Steel Carports will certify it.

This 30’W x 51’L x 12’H metal workshop is a perfect example of what we can do:

• Fully Vertical

• 3 – 10’x10′ Roll-Up Doors (on the side) .

• 36″x80″ Walk-In Door (on the side)

Because this metal workshop is fully vertical, it allows natural elements such as dirt, water, and snow to slide off without the need for constant maintenance. Also, having your roll-up doors on the side can give you plenty of advantages when it comes to this type of building, since it’s cheaper to grow in length than in width.

You can customize your metal building, too! Give us a call and ask to speak with one of our sales representatives. The metal workshop of your dreams could be one call away!

Now is a Great Time to get Yourself a Workshop

We’re already halfway through the month; next thing you know, it’s going to be Spring Break. This year feels like it’s going pretty fast, but you still have enough time to place your order and be ready for the summer and winter!

We specialize in metal buildings. Whether you want a mini-storage, metal barn, simple carport, or more complex building or warehouse, American Steel Carports will be there to make sure that your unit gets installed correctly. Our sales representatives will work with you to ensure that you get exactly what you’re looking for. We can even provide a free sketch for visual purposes!

Take this 30’W x 51’L x 10’H metal workshop as an example of what we’re capable of:

• A-Frame Vertical Roof

• Four (4) – 10’x8′ Roll-Up Doors (on the side)

• Two (2) – 30″x30″ Windows (one on each end)

• 6’x7′ Roll-Up Door (front end)

• 36″x80″ Walk-In Door (back end)

NOTE: Adding roll-up doors on the side of the building can save you some money, since it’s cheaper to grow in length than in width. When the metal building overpasses 30’ in length, we strongly recommend opting for a vertical roof; this will help you avoid any leaks in the future.

You can always share your ideas and thoughts and customize your own building, and we will do our best to make it happen. Remember, the dimensions and additional features (such as garage doors, windows, etc.) can always be changed.

Give us a call! And don’t forget to ask about our financing options. Ask for your local dealer if you want to get a closer look at our available metal buildings.

Another Barn!

Are you getting ready for the hot temperatures? Are all of your belongings stored and protected?

It’s simple to say that summer is still a long way from now, which is true – but by the time summer hits us, we’ve got to be ready for it. Since our headquarters is located in Joshua, TX, we know exactly how incredibly unstable our weather can be and how summer can arrive anytime.

We recommend that our customers check with their local building departments if their metal buildings meet the local codes before purchasing any of our units. Local codes from Texas may differ from those in any other state, especially if the building is going to be put up in an urban area.

One of the most popular buildings this year has been the ag barn. This barn can be used for many purposes. The most common one, of course, is as a barn, keeping livestock safe from the rain and intense heat. Some customers opt to enclose part of the lean-tos to store animal feed or farm equipment. On the other hand, there are customers who just love the design and prefer to use it as a garage for their vehicles. If you have land and space available, that would be a very interesting project.

Take a look at this metal barn installed near Chiloquin, OR:

• 20’W x 41’L x 12’H (main unit)

• A-Frame Vertical Roof

• Horizontal Siding

• 10×10 Roll-Up Door (front end)

• 36″x80″ Walk-In Door (front end)

• 2 – 30″x30″ Windows

• 10’W x 41’L x 10’/8’H Lean-Tos

• A-Frame Vertical Roof

• Horizontal Sides

• 2 – 9×7 Roll-Up Doors (one on each lean-to)

• Mobile Home Anchors

One of the main advantages of this barn is its vertical roof; since Oregon is a state with constant snow, the panels running from the peak toward the eaves allow snow to slide off without the need for constant maintenance, like other types of roofs.

Should you always go for a vertical roof?

Not necessarily. Although vertical roofs are the best choice when it comes to maintenance, if you live in an area that rarely gets snow, it’s not necessary. However, it’s highly recommended to get a vertical roof if your carport exceeds 30’ in length in order to avoid leaks in the future.

You can customize your metal building! Give us a call, and we will help you build the metal barn of your dreams. Remember that we also offer financing options if you need a little help purchasing your metal barn. Ask your representative about it.

Ag barns are definitely one of a kind—they look pretty nice as well as offering protection. Keep in mind that this unit doesn’t necessarily have to be used as a barn: we have customers who really love this kind of structure and will transform it into a garage for their vehicles or even a storage room.

Whether it’s used as a barn or a garage, we will certify the unit for you to withstand inclement weather. Please note that it’s important to verify with your local building department that your metal barn complies with your area’s regulations.

Take a look at this 36’W x 21’L x 12’H ag barn installed in Edgewood, New Mexico:

• 12’W x 21’L x 10’/8’H (each Lean-to)

Metal Garage with Skylights

Need additional illumination for your metal garage/workshop? Have you considered adding skylights to your metal building?

As we all know, illumination is very important when it comes to metal buildings, especially fully enclosed ones. Even with roll-up doors and windows, sometimes there’s not enough sunlight coming through. To rectify this, American Steel Carports offers 2 different skylight sizes: 3×8 and 3×4. Whether you have a small mini-storage building or a big metal barn, you would always have the option to add skylights. Also, please note that skylights can only be installed in vertical siding roofs.

Besides of the features we offer to customize your metal building, you can always customize its size. Remember, all of the blogs and pictures we post are live examples of our customers’ creations. You can base your own ideas on those, or, if you really like a building, you can always build yours to match it. And with 12 different colors to choose from at no additional cost, you can add your own personal touch.

Take this 30’W x 51’L x 12’H metal garage as an example:

• A-Frame Vertical Roof

• Horizontal Sides & Ends

• 3 – 10×10 Roll-Up Doors (2 on the front end, one on the back end)

• 2 – Walk-In Doors (36×72)

•  8 – 3×8 Skylights

Our customer decided to add 8 skylights for illumination in addition to the light from the 3 roll-up doors. This garage is also rocking our clay and pewter gray colors!

You can place your order NOW! Give us a call and let one of our sales representatives assist you with any questions or concerns you might have. And don’t forget to ask about our financing options!
