When your building overpasses 31’ in length, it’s highly recommended that you opt for a vertical roof instead in order to avoid future leaks. Since this building is only 31’ long, however, the horizontal roof isn’t a problem. This building also comes with a 10’ x 8’ roll-up door on the side and a 36” x 80” walk-in door.

Live in the North? You’d better watch out for the Snow!

Vertical siding buildings are the most recommended when it comes to states that get a lot of snow. The vertical roof allows natural elements like snow, water, dirt, leaves, and dust to slide off easily without the need for constant maintenance, unlike other roof styles. And if the vertical roof can give you all that, imagine having vertical sides! It would definitely make your metal garage maintenance-free!

 

Another cool feature that we offer is our overhead doors. These doors create more of a residential look, and they can actually be connected to a garage opener. Please keep in mind that American Steel Carports does not offer that type of service: we would only provide the installation of your metal building and the overhead door.

As we all know, illumination is very important when it comes to metal buildings, especially fully enclosed ones. Even with roll-up doors and windows, sometimes there’s not enough sunlight coming through. To rectify this, American Steel Carports offers 2 different skylight sizes: 3×8 and 3×4. Whether you have a small mini-storage building or a big metal barn, you would always have the option to add skylights. Also, please note that skylights can only be installed in vertical siding roofs.

 

Besides of the features we offer to customize your metal building, you can always customize its size. Remember, all of the blogs and pictures we post are live examples of our customers’ creations. If you have multiple vehicles at your house, it may be a little challenging to get every single one protected from the weather, especially if the only garage you have is the one attached to your house. Moving the other cars just to get one out can be quite annoying, too, especially if you’re in a hurry or the weather isn’t cooperating.

 

This scenario happens pretty often. That’s why American Steel Carports encourages you to acquire a 3-bay metal garage for your vehicles. The big advantage of having your garage doors on the side of the building, instead of the end, is that expanding in length is not as expensive as expanding in width. End walls are pricier due to the material needed. With your garage doors on the side, your cars will be just as secure, and at a lower cost.
