Insulated Mini Storage

Mini storage units might be small, but they provide excellent protection for your belongings.

When it comes to residential areas without that much space available for construction, there aren’t that many options to build a storage unit. But mini storage units definitely offer a great opportunity to store your valuable belongings.

Although we have a flyer regarding our specialized mini storage units, it doesn’t mean that we cannot customize the size for you.  We can also do cuttings (frame outs) according to your desired dimensions for an additional price. In this case, our customer wanted to have a 2’ x 2’ frame on the side.

Usually, the leg height of a mini storage unit is only 7 feet tall. However, this customer decided to have fully vertical 8’ legs and wanted to insulate the whole unit:

 12′ x 15′ x 8′

• 12-Gauge Galvanized Tubing

• Fully Vertical (Roof, Sides & Ends)

• 6′ x 6′ Roll-Up Door

• 36″ x 72″ Walk-In Door

 2′ x 2′ Frame Out (Opening)

• Fully Insulated

*Disclaimer: interior designs may vary by state or region*

*Insulation can be added on vertical buildings only.

American Steel Carports offer insulation for your metal building. Our insulation provides your unit with thermal, radiant, and vapor barrier protection (R Value 16). That means that you’ll have a cool, dry structure in the summer and a warm, dry structure in the winter.

All Vertical Garage

Want to have real garage doors?

At American Steel Carports, we don’t only offer roll-up doors. We also have overhead doors to give you a residential look and quality. Our garages doors come in a standard design, meaning they don’t have windows or insulation,  but you can upgrade overhead doors with glass windows, and if the unit will be fully insulated, you can insulate the door too! Our overhead doors are also compatible with garage openers.

Look at this fully vertical metal garage rocking our overhead doors:

26’W x 31’L x 11’H

• 12-Gauge Galvanized Tubing

Fully Vertical

• 2 – 10′ x 10′ Overhead Doors

• 36″ x 80″ Walk-In Door (on the side)

• Concrete Anchors (90-mph wind warranty)

What are the advantages of a fully vertical garage?

One of the main advantages is low maintenance. Because the panels run vertically, they’re also more strongly recommended for northern areas, especially places with heavy snowfall.

How do I have my building certified for the snow loads in my area?

Our buildings are already certified for 20 psf. But if your area has heavy snow loads, we can certify our buildings to withstand those too. On top of that, vertical siding WILL NOT let snow accumulate on the roof or cause it to collapse.

We’re almost into summer, and the elevated temperatures will make it a good idea to acquire a metal garage to protect your vehicle from the blazing sun. Keep your car in the shade to prevent the paint from fading and cracking.

Give us a call! We can help you picture the metal garage of your dreams! Remember, delivery and installation are FREE on your level land or concrete pad. Want to see more buildings? Click here or go to our blog for more recently installed metal buildings and valuable information.

Do you Need to House your Vehicle and Equipment?

American Steel Carports will take care of finding the right metal building for you! We offer a variety of styles and designs to bring your ideas to life, and you can view a vast range of demos at our main corporate offices, from a simple mini-storage building to a triple-wide unit.

One of our most recent buildings, comes with fully vertical walls and ends, perfect for snowy areas. Due to the panels running vertically (from the peak to the eaves), it allows elements such as dirt, snow, water, leaves, dust, etc. to slide off easily, making it a low-maintenance building. It also has a vertical colonial style or wainscoting:

• 18’W x 26’L x 9’H

• 14 Gauge Galvanize Tubing

• Fully Vertical

• 2 – 10 x 8 Roll-Up Doors (one on each side)

• Walk-In Door with Window (on the side)

• Colonial Style (2 toned)

• 5 Windows (on the side)

• 12’W x 26’L x 9’/8’H Lean-To

• A-Frame Vertical Roof

• 2 – Vertical Gable Ends

• 20″ Down Sidewall

Disclaimer: Colonial style on vertical siding buildings comes with an additional charge. Interior designs may vary by state or region.

Amazing Metal Buildings Come from Amazing Ideas.

Most of our designs come from our customers’ most valuable ideas—the ideas that complement the very idea of what a metal building is. Customization helps us implement these ideas.

When it comes to customized metal buildings, our clients’ biggest fear is that our units won’t withstand harsh weather. To verify your specific local wind rates, you’ll have to contact your city’s building department. But the main protection we offer is the addition of anchors. We do offer rebar anchors (temporary anchors) for free, although they don’t come with any guarantee. Much better are our asphalt and concrete mobile home anchors, which have a warranty for winds of up to 90 mph.

What happens if the winds are stronger?

If the winds are stronger, we start by adding more trusses. In some cases, we add bigger peak and corner braces.

American Steel Carports does not do any concrete work, but we do offer our customers recommendations for concrete foundations. This a good example of one of our customers in Portales, New Mexico:

22′ x 26′ x 10′

A-Frame Horizontal Roof

14-Gauge Galvanize Tubing

3 – 9×7 Roll-Up Doors (2 on left side, 1 on right side)

36×80 Walk-In Door (front end)

12′ x 26′ x 10’/8′ Lean-To

Continuous Roof

25′ Double Bar Header (for Lean-To)

*DISCLAIMER: Headers may vary upon county regulations or snow loads. Prices are subject to change at any time without notice. Please contact our sales department for our latest prices.*

If you have any specific requirements, don’t hesitate to let our sales representatives know. Together we can develop your ideas and make them come true. We can create sketches to help you fully visualize them and make sure that every little detail has been taken care of.
