• 36″x80″ Walk-In Door (back end)

 

 

NOTE: Adding roll-up doors on the side of the building can save you some money, since it’s cheaper to grow in length than in width. When the metal building overpasses 30’ in length, we strongly recommend opting for a vertical roof; this will help you avoid any leaks in the future.

 

You can always share your ideas and thoughts and customize your own building, and we will do our best to make it happen. Remember, the dimensions and additional features (such as garage doors, windows, etc.) can always be changed.

Metal Garage with Skylights

Need additional illumination for your metal garage/workshop? Have you considered adding skylights to your metal building?

 

As we all know, illumination is very important when it comes to metal buildings, especially fully enclosed ones. Even with roll-up doors and windows, sometimes there’s not enough sunlight coming through. To rectify this, American Steel Carports offers 2 different skylight sizes: 3×8 and 3×4. Whether you have a small mini-storage building or a big metal barn, you would always have the option to add skylights. Also, please note that skylights can only be installed in vertical siding roofs.

 

Besides of the features we offer to customize your metal building, you can always customize its size. Remember, all of the blogs and pictures we post are live examples of our customers’ creations. You can base your own ideas on those, or, if you really like a building, you can always build yours to match it. And with 12 different colors to choose from at no additional cost, you can add your own personal touch.

And we’re back with the new year!

 

We hope everyone had a wonderful time during the holidays. Now it’s time for a fresh start and more new buildings!

 

What if we start this year with a long building? It’s a good idea to have your building ready for the hot summer and the winter beyond. You never know what will happen in the inclement weather. Remember, our buildings are made according to your needs: if 61 feet is too long for you or isn’t allowed by your city, we can always change the length. It’s the same with the other options and features, such as doors, windows, and insulation.

 

Take a look at this building, with dimensions of 24′W × 61′L × 10′H:

It’s mini storage time!

If the size of a storage building is one of your concerns, then it’s more likely that a mini-storage will work for you. Our mini storages tend to be more affordable than a regular enclosed building, with the same freedom of adding certain features; not to mention that all our mini storages come with a ¾” pressure treated wood floor.

 

Take this 12’W x 16’L x 7’H mini storage in 12-G installed in Tijeras, New Mexico as an example:

Our buildings don’t necessarily have to be installed on concrete slabs. Leveled surfaces like asphalt and regular ground are typically flat enough to install metal buildings. Additionally, our company offers mobile home and asphalt anchors to secure your metal building, so if you want to get our 90-mph wind warranty, we can still give it to you as long as your purchase all of the necessary anchors. However, keep in mind that any building that exceeds 30’ in width will be required to have a concrete slab.

Looking for a Metal Building With Insulation?

Our metal buildings offer great protection when it comes to inclement weather. The versatility of steel allows us to transform and shape your building according to your desired specifications and needs.

 

Despite the versatility of our buildings, however, one other option that we offer is insulation. Insulation can be a little pricey—but, in the end, it’s your belongings that are getting protected from the harsh weather conditions. Please be aware that insulation can only be installed on vertical metal buildings. That means that if you need your building to be fully insulated, the whole building must be vertical (siding).

 

Take a look at this 24’W x 36’L x 9’H metal building that’s fully insulated:

 

•Fully Vertical

• Fully Insulated

• Three 9’x7′ Roll-Up Doors (two on the front end, and one on the side)

• 36″ x 84″ Heavy Duty Door (on the side)
