The vertical roof allows natural elements like snow, water, dirt, leaves, and dust to slide off easily without the need for constant maintenance, unlike other roof styles. And if the vertical roof can give you all that, imagine having vertical sides! It would definitely make your metal garage maintenance-free!

 

Another cool feature that we offer is our overhead doors. These doors create more of a residential look, and they can actually be connected to a garage opener. Moving the other cars just to get one out can be quite annoying, too, especially if you’re in a hurry or the weather isn’t cooperating.

The big advantage of having your garage doors on the side of the building, instead of the end, is that expanding in length is not as expensive as expanding in width. End walls are pricier due to the material needed. With your garage doors on the side, your cars will be just as secure, and at a lower cost.

Our buildings don’t necessarily have to be installed on concrete slabs. Leveled surfaces like asphalt and regular ground are typically flat enough to install metal buildings. Additionally, our company offers mobile home and asphalt anchors to secure your metal building, so if you want to get our 90-mph wind warranty, we can still give it to you as long as your purchase all of the necessary anchors. However, keep in mind that any building that exceeds 30’ in width will be required to have a concrete slab.

Metal Garage in New Mexico

Allow your metal building to withstand all seasons with no problem at all!

 

When it comes to protection for your vehicle, there are many factors to consider before purchasing a metal garage. Depending on where you live, some factors will include snow loads, heavy rain, strong winds, etc. Lucky for you, American Steel Carports builds nothing but engineer-certified metal buildings.

 

Our A-frame vertical roof is the strongest of all. This option is engineered to allow snow, dirt, and rain to slide off without any difficulty. The ribs on the panels run from the peak of the roof toward the eaves. Hat channels are also added to further support the vertically running metal sheets. Remember that this roof style comes with a 6” overhang around the carport/garage, blocking a high percentage of precipitation from entering the unit.

 

Take a look at this 18’W x 26’L x 9’H in 14-Gauge metal building installed in Gallup, NM:

What are the advantages of a fully vertical garage?

 

One of the main advantages is low maintenance. Because the panels run vertically, they’re also more strongly recommended for northern areas, especially places with heavy snowfall.

 

How do I have my building certified for the snow loads in my area?

 

Our buildings are already certified for 20 psf. But if your area has heavy snow loads, we can certify our buildings to withstand those too. On top of that, vertical siding WILL NOT let snow accumulate on the roof or cause it to collapse.

 

We’re almost into summer, and the elevated temperatures will make it a good idea to acquire a metal garage to protect your vehicle from the blazing sun. Keep your car in the shade to prevent the paint from fading and cracking.

We urge you to consider purchasing our anchors. When you purchase all the anchors needed to secure your building, you get a warranty covering dislocation from wind of up to 90-mph!
