Top Seller from Texas

Guess what’s new again? You got it! Another agricultural building.

Agricultural buildings have become one of the favorite buildings to build, and they are the top sellers of the year. Regardless of the season, agricultural buildings offer great protection for your valuable belongings as well as for your livestock. The use of an agricultural building varies depending on your needs, and with 12 colors to choose from, you can add your own personal touch.

Before purchasing an agricultural building, you’ll need to know the measurements of the main unit and the lean-to’s (the wings connected to the main unit). We will customize to your needs and requirements.

The next thing to known is how tall you want the unit to be. We offer three heights: the main unit, the drop, and the lean-to’s. We want to make sure that the height can accommodate what you’re planning to put inside.

Finally, you’ll need to know the number of windows or doors. Windows aren’t always required, especially in this type of building. And most of our customer can easily access their center building without the need for doors; for this reason or because of livestock, they opt for frame-outs instead.

This is a great example of an agricultural building installed in Bellevue, TX.

• 22’W x 26’L x 12’H (Center Unit)

• A-Frame Horizontal Roof

• 2 – 10’x10′ Frame Outs

• 2 -10’W x 26’L x 10’/8’H Lean-Tos

• 9’x7′ Roll-Up Door

• Mobile Home Anchors

Remember that we offer a warranty for wind up to 90 mph if you purchase all the anchors needed for your building.

Because most of our steel structures are prefabricated, our customers save time and money. All orders are built at our factory and then delivered and installed on-site in a matter of hours. Steel is also easy to work with, which gives you the liberty to choose any size, shape, or design.

With more than 15 years of experience, we know exactly what our customers are looking for. And what better way to show them that than by giving them long-lasting buildings, engineer-certified at a reasonable price?

Utility Carport Installed in Colorado

Have you heard of our utility buildings? Many of our customers opt to have a utility unit instead of a regular garage. These units don’t only offer protection for your vehicle; they can also work as a storage room. The storage spacing varies depending on our customers’ needs. Some of our customers expand the storage room to use it as an extended garage or even as their own shop. Regardless of how you plan to use the storage room, we want to meet your expectations and needs.

We know our buildings can be a high investment, but we want to give you the most durable material, and most importantly, a product that is engineer-certified.

A good example of this storage room is this utility carport installed in Trinidad, Colorado.

18’W x 31’L x 7’H

A-Frame Vertical Roof

10-Ft. Storage Room

8 x 6 Roll-Up Door

36″ x 72″ Walk-In Door (on the side)

Because the building has an A-frame vertical roof (with panels running from the roof peak toward the eaves), it allows snow, dirt, water, and leaves to run off easily, so you won’t have to worry about maintenance for a long time.

The unit has a 20-ft. carport and a 10-ft. storage room. Remember, the spacing and design can adapt to your unique needs.

Why Replacing a Traditional Barn With a Steel Barn is a Good Investment

Across the United States, picturesque farms have been part of our national identity for generations. It’s what inspired the “amber waves of grain” lyrics in the classic song “America the Beautiful”. Pastures for grazing, tractors for harvesting, old farmhouses, clothes being hung on the line, and big red barns are part of those picturesque scenes around America. Perhaps one of the most iconic images of the American farm are the old red wooden barns that landmark each farm. The unfortunate thing is that these old barns are falling apart and need to be replaced. That’s where American Steel comes in. Here are a few reasons why replacing a traditional barn with a steel barn is a great investment.

Steel Barns are Better for Safety

The traditional wooden barns we love so much are easily damaged and worn out over time. The risk of them collapsing increases every time the wind blows. People don’t replace them because they have such significance to the identity of the farm. However, the risk of a roof collapsing far outweighs the charm an old barn has. Consider investing in a steel barn to replace your old one. Not only will it keep your farm equipment safe and secure it also reduces your anxiety that someone could be hurt if the barn ever collapsed.

Steel Barns are Durable

Unlike wood, steel doesn’t rot or get infested by termites. It stands strong for years, just like our product guarantee. Our steel structures are wind proof up to 90 mph and built to withstand heavy snow fall. The outdoor elements are no match for our engineer certified steel barns. You’ll be able to enjoy your barn without having to do all of the maintenance a traditional barn requires.

Keep the Imagery

Since old wooden barns painted bright red are so iconic to farms across America, we made sure to include steel siding in a variety of colors including “barn red”. You shouldn’t have to give up something so important to your farm for the sake of safety and durability, which is why we created our steel barns and sheds in traditional colors and shapes.

Let American Steel Build Your Barn

Our experts at American Steel can help you choose the perfect structure for your needs. Whether you need a simple carport to keep your vehicles safe from the elements or you need a steel barn to store your farm machinery in, we can help. Get in touch with us today for more information!

Two-Car Garage Residential Style

At American Steel Carports, we want to meet your expectations and give you a few options and recommendations for your metal building or garage.

For example, we’ve seen many customers who feel that they need to build wider to make a garage for two vehicles, but who worry that this will increase the price. But putting roll-up doors on the sides is another good way to approach this, especially for two-vehicle garages. Roll-up doors on the sides definitely help make space for vehicles, and this can be adapted to a residential style too (by adding windows, doors, etc.) Please note: Leg height needs to be 1ft tallers than the door height.

This is a great example of a two-car garage installed in Bradford, Arkansas.

It’s stylish, but the best part is that the building is engineer-certified. This

unit was made from 12-gauge galvanized tubing, which gives it a 20-year warranty against rust-through of the framing. With the unit being fully vertical, it allows elements such as dirt, snow, water, etc. to run-off very easy, and it won’t require that much maintenance compared to a horizontal siding unit. It also has a 90 mph wind warranty when you purchase all anchors needed for it; in this case the customer had mobile home anchors.

Protecting Your Property From Inclement Weather

In the last week, we’ve seen the devastation that a hurricane can cause to entire communities. Homes are flooded, some aren’t even there anymore, cars have floated away, and even sheds that housed people’s storage and lawn equipment are completely destroyed. Not to mention the unfortunate loss of life many places are beginning to uncover. Hurricane Matthew left destruction and chaos in every town it touched. It begs the question, how do you keep your possessions safe? At American Steel, we have the solution. Our steel sheds are built to last. Here are four reasons why a steel shed or structure is a great investment for your property.

Withstand High Winds

Metal Garage Warranties

Bad weather terrifies people and the insurance companies alike. Millions of dollars in damage was done as a result of Hurricane Matthew. How does anyone even begin to replace all of the things they lost? While we can’t help with replacing lost and damaged items, we can help you prevent losing those things in the first place. American Steel sheds can withstand high winds up to 90mph. Additionally, our structures are built with roof bracing in every corner to prevent the roof from collapsing in the event of bad weather.

Protect Property from Debris

A steel garage is a great way to protect your car or tractor from debris. Water causes a lot of damage but flying debris can cause even more damage. Not only is it incredibly dangerous, it can also break the bank. A steel garage can protect your vehicle from being hit by a tree branch, rocks, or anything else that the wind picks up. Plus, keeping your car in a garage often lowers your car insurance rate because it’s protected from the elements.

Protect Animals and Farm Equipment from the Elements

If you have farm animals, a steel barn is a great way to protect them. Steel barns are easier to maintain than traditional wooden barns and they offer more insulation from the cold. Similar to garages, they’ll protect your animals from being hit and even killed by flying debris. Our structures are built strong because we know your investments are an important part of your business. Losing an animal or even a piece of farm equipment to hurricane winds is something our steel barns can prevent.

American Steel Can Help Prevent Expensive Hurricane Damage

Our thoughts go out to those affected by Hurricane Matthew. Nothing is scarier than losing everything you have to something completely out of your control. If you’re worried about bad weather damaging or destroying your property, give us a call and let us put your mind at ease. Our steel structures are built to last. No matter what your storage needs are, we can help. Don’t wait until a disaster strikes, get in touch with us today.

Storm-Proof Your Belongings with A Steel Structure

Whether you’re facing the rains and winds of El Nino, you’re situated along the Gulf Coast in the path of a hurricane, or you’re a resident of Tornado Alley, a steel structure, such as an aluminum shed, may be the best option for protecting your belongings.
Although events like El Nino, hurricanes, and tornadoes are random as far as when and how often they might occur, cost-effective steel structures are an excellent option for protection during sunny weather or hurricane-force winds.

It’s Easier to Protect Than Replace

When it comes to ensuring your home, family, and possessions are protected, it’s much easier to build for the “just in case” eventuality of a terrible, windy storm than to assume “well, it could never happen to me.” If you choose to build the cheapest metal structure you can to save money, you won’t just have to replace the building when it’s torn apart by a weather event, you’ll have to replace everything in it.

The loss of your possessions or equipment will require money, and there’s no guarantee that everything you lose will be replaceable, or that you will be able to rely on your insurance policy to replace everything. Most insurance policies come with deductibles anyway, so you’ll still have money going out the door to fix or replace items and repair the destruction.

Increasing the Strength of Your Steel Structuremetal buildings and barns

From metal barns to garage sheds made of steel, the strength and protection of your structure not only protects against terrible weather and wind, but it also helps provide protection during heavy snowfall and persistent rain. Many types of steel structures will withstand virtually any normal windstorm, and there’s also the option to upgrade to a certified structure.

A certified structure is braced and anchored to the ground and can be upgraded to withstand 130 MPH winds, as well as a significant amount of snow. You may even choose to upgrade your steel structure to withstand an incredible 155 MPH and additional snow load.

Can Metal Buildings Truly Withstand Hurricanes?

The force of a hurricane often leaves a path of flattened debris and destruction behind it, and it’s not uncommon to see swaths of bare ground dotting the landscape after the departure of a hurricane. Similar scenes result when a tornado rips through the area and decimates homes, farms, and businesses.

You might wonder whether a metal carport or a garage shed made of steel can withstand a hurricane, but time has shown that structures made of steel are often the only things standing after hurricane-force winds come through the area. Companies like American Steel Carports, Inc. that specialize in metal structures can provide buildings that are engineered to meet the demands of a specific weather event.

Hurricanes receive their classification label based upon their sustained wind speeds, and meteorologists will refer to these levels as the “Saffir-Simpson Hurricane Wind Scale.” Any hurricane that reaches a category 3 or higher can rip apart many traditional buildings and wreak havoc on buildings like residential homes.

A hurricane that reaches Category 3 will have winds between 111 and 129 miles per hour, but a category 5 can actually reach wind speeds of more than 157 MPH. Steel structures are excellent for protecting your vehicles, equipment, and possessions against the ferocity of a hurricane’s winds.

Transform a Metal Carport/Garage into a Business

Have you ever thought of using a metal carport/garage to start your own business?

American Steel Carports likes to innovate and help our customers with their needs. Whether you order a simple unit or one that’s custom-made, American Steel Carports will take pride in meeting your needs.

Most of our customers use their units as a solid garage, a storage facility, or a workshop. However, one of our customers decided to turn her investment into a real business.

Our dear customer, Tracy Marroquin from Tag Custom Products, renovated her business office with a building that she purchased from us. The idea seemed very strange, but Tracy took it to the next level.

The outcome was a success! All of the custom features that she added to her office look incredible, and she paid a great deal of attention to detail.

Did you notice the insulation on the building? Although our customer decided to insulate the unit through a third party, they used a high-quality spray foam. Not only does it look stunning, it keeps the unit cool during hot weather and warm during cold weather.

DISCLAIMER: Adding any type of customizations to the unit, will automatically void any warranties the building might have.

We want to meet your expectations, satisfy your needs, and serve you with our most durable materials. Whether you choose a standard carport, a garage, or an agricultural unit, we will always certify it.

Do you have your own project that you need help getting started? Give us a call, and one of our representatives will be happy to help you. Don’t forget to visit our products page to read more information and see photos.
