14′ Tall Metal Carport

Looking for a simple carport for your RV? Does your RV overpass the 12-foot standard height from the flyers?

At American Steel Carports, we ensure that our metal buildings meet all of your expectations and needs. We can accommodate your requirements, especially when it comes to building permits. Keep in mind that we can add as much material as your unit needs in order to make sure it’s fully protected and certified for the requirements of the city. However, it’s important for you to go to your local building department and talk to them in order to verify all of the state codes. Since all of the states have different requirements when it comes to installations, they might need to see plans or specifics.

When our customers look for metal RV covers, they can be concerned when the leg height that they’re looking for isn’t listed on the pricing flyers. But that doesn’t mean that we cannot go taller than 12 feet; in fact, the tallest we can go on a building is 20 feet in height. However, keep in mind that the leg height cannot exceed the width of the unit.

Take this metal carport as an example. It’s 14 feet tall:

  • 30’W x 41’L x 14’H
  • 12-Gauge Galvanized Tubing
  • A-Frame Vertical Roof

All of our metal units are engineer-certified, and with their one-year workmanship warranty, we allow our buildings to go through all four seasons to make sure that they don’t have any leaks or issues.

Give us a call! If wind and/or snow loads are your main concerns, don’t forget to ask our representatives about our wind warranties and how we can certify your unit when it comes to large amounts of snow.

Converting Your Metal Building Into a Workshop

Workshop spaces have never been in such a high demand as they are now. At American Steel Carports, we like to provide our customers with high-quality materials and deliver a great experience when it comes to installations.

Among the two different types of garage doors that we offer (roll-up doors and overhead doors) and the sizes they come in, it’s important to understand one requirement of the units. When a roll-up door exceeds 10’ in width, it has to be chain-hoisted. Because this means that these doors will close from the inside (which is a fire hazard), the units of all doors that are bigger than 10’ x 10’ must also have a walk-in door or another way to get in and out.

Check out this 30’ x 41’ x 12’ steel building used as a workshop with a 12’ x 12’ roll-up door. You can clearly see the chain hoist and the walk-in door that has been added to the side of the building to increase access.

• 30’W x 41’L x 12’H

• 12-Gauge Galvanized Tubing

• A-Frame Vertical Roof

• 12′ x 12′ Roll-Up Door

• 36″ x 80″ Walk-In Door (on the side)

• 30″ x 30″ Window (on the side)

• 90-mph Wind Warranty

Our priorities are to give you a durable and strong metal building, but we also want to meet your expectations. Remember, the building is completely yours, so you’re welcome to customize it as much as you like, placing features such as doors and windows at your desired locations.

Remember that we offer a one-year workmanship warranty, allowing your building to go through all four seasons before the warranty expires. You can protect your investment by making sure that it’s well-constructed and safe all year round.

If you have any questions or you’re not sure about what type of carport you should get, please don’t hesitate to give us a call. One of our sales representatives will be more than happy to assist you with any inquiries. Also, don’t forget to check our triple-wide units for more information and designs that can help you explore your ideas.

Fully Vertical Garage

Durability and easy maintenance are what our metal buildings are best known for. With more than 16 years of experience, we know exactly how to make our buildings last a long time. If wind and snow loads are your main concerns, then you’ve come to the right place.

Among the many styles we offer, there’s a special one that we recommend to all our customers: the vertical style. When the panels run vertically, they let water, dirt, and snow run off easily. This type of roof is highly recommended in snowy areas. Our buildings are certified for 20–25 SPF, but don’t forget to check with your building department about snow-load requirements; if your city requires more, we can certify it by adding more trusses.

Our A-frame roofs come in a residential style too, so if you happen to live in the city or the suburbs, our buildings will blend in with the neighborhood. Keep in mind that vertical siding buildings have the advantage of allowing insulation to be added.

Take a look at this garage in Artesia, New Mexico:

30’W x 31’L x 12’H

12-Gauge Galvanized Tubing

2 – 10′ x 10′ Roll-Up Doors

36″ x 80″ Walk-In Door (side)

Fully Vertical

90-mph Wind Warranty (20 Concrete Anchors)

The garage comes with a 20-year warranty on rust-through of the framing, because it’s built from 12-gauge galvanized tubing. Another feature is the concrete anchors that we offer. Keep in mind that you can also get our 90-mph wind warranty if you purchase all the anchors required. The placement of doors is optional: they can go on the ends or on the sides. Remember that if the roll-up door goes on the side, the leg height needs to be at least one foot taller than the door.

We care for your needs, and it’s our responsibility to offer you high-quality service. We recommend to our customers what’s best for them. If you don’t know how to get started with your quote, simply give us a call! One of our sales representatives will help you with all your questions. Partially Enclosed Building

When you’re looking to purchase a metal building, your first concern is the durability of the unit. But you also need a way to offer protection to your belongings, your vehicle, or whatever else you’ll keep inside. With all those factors in mind, it’s not easy to trust just any company. That’s why the best option for you is American Steel Carports.

With more than 16 years of experience, we know exactly how to deliver a great experience and meet all your expectations. Unlike wood, steel can be easily manipulated. We can customize our buildings to any size, according to your needs and specifications. And that’s not to mention that steel is one of the strongest metals there is.

We offer a variety of designs that you can choose from. Most of these were created by our own customers, in fact, and they can give you a clear idea of what we’re capable of. Remember, your requirements are our priority.

Take as an example this 24’W x 36’L x 8’H unit:

A-Frame Vertical Roof

3 Sided Unit

2 – 36″ x 80″ Walk-In Door

9′ x 7′ Roll-Up Door (on the side)

Front Gable

90 Mph Wind Warranty

This is a unique building. Although our customer didn’t describe its special use, it’s probably for storing farm equipment. Because the building uses 12-gauge galvanized tubing, it comes with a 20-year limited warranty on rust-through of the framing. If you live in an area where snow is an annual concern, then an A-Frame vertical roof is the indicated style for you. Because the panels run from the peak toward the eaves, vertical roofs offer a smooth way for water, snow, dirt, and debris to run off easily.

It has a great value and can be used as a garage or storage room. The design may look simple, but it’s strong enough to resist any harsh weather. Two-Car Garage Residential Style

At American Steel Carports, we want to meet your expectations and give you a few options and recommendations for your metal building or garage.

For example, we’ve seen many customers who feel that they need to build wider to make a garage for two vehicles, but who worry that this will increase the price. But putting roll-up doors on the sides is another good way to approach this, especially for two-vehicle garages. Roll-up doors on the sides definitely help make space for vehicles, and this can be adapted to a residential style too (by adding windows, doors, etc.) Please note: Leg height needs to be 1ft tallers than the door height.

This is a great example of a two-car garage installed in Bradford, Arkansas.

-12-Gauge

-Fully Vertical

-Three Windows (30″x30″)

-Two 9×7 Roll-Up Doors

-One Walk-In Door (36″x72″)

It’s stylish, but the best part is that the building is engineer-certified. This

unit was made from 12-gauge galvanized tubing, which gives it a 20-year warranty against rust-through of the framing. With the unit being fully vertical, it allows elements such as dirt, snow, water, etc. to run-off very easy, and it won’t require that much maintenance compared to a horizontal siding unit. It also has a 90 mph wind warranty when you purchase all anchors needed for it; in this case the customer had mobile home anchors.
